Signs in the Virgin Islands

I am working on a request for a bunch of signs for an estate in the Virgin Islands. Range from small to fairly large. For almost all outdoor sign in the continental US I use redwood with BEHR Waterproofing finish (from HD). The colors and styles she wants (different areas of the estate), I was leaning toward poplar. I would appreciate some opinions.
