Thread: Help would be appreciated!

    Default Help would be appreciated!

I made a pattern. I took that pattern and placed it on a board. I made an outline of the pattern and deleted the pattern. I now have the shape of the perimeter of the pattern on the board. I create two arcs (to make a circle) that intersect the pattern outline. I highlight all three items. I grab my snipping tool and tray to snip so that I would end up with the shapes that would exist between the edges of the circle (really two arcs) and the edges of the pattern. The plan is to cut away these pieces and then place the pattern back on the remaining piece. The snipping tool will not work. It does not recognize the outline because it is considered a "path", I think. Outside of tracing the edges of the pattern, is there another way to do this? I feel like I am missing something!
    Many Thanks,
    Mike

Yes you can not edit (other than sizing) the paths made from an outline. Your only option is what you have suggested, manually draw the outline.
