    Default Need help recessing this

Can anyone help me with this? I know its probably simple, but I keep running into walls. What I would like is for this 9 3/4 to be recessed instead of raised. I plan on inserting type underneeth, but that should be simple. Thanks for any assistance.

if this is what you are looking for, convert your text to center line, I used a 60 deg v and had "conform" on.
had to resize the text a little to fit. Hope this helps

Set all of the depths the same as your carve region and then use merge subtractive.

Maybe something like this? I used the "Sweep:Rounded" on the circle and the text tool for the numbers. Then "Merge:Subtractive" on the numbers. It's not drawn to the same scale as your example and I guessed at the font (Clarendon BT).
