Help with conform in carve region

on the attached mpd file dI started carving it and the string on the bow (in spite of feather and draft) was chipping out so I want to invert the pattern but I can't find a way. I can invert the hummingbird but don't want to but not the bow and arrow. any help would be appreciatedPapa & nana's playhouse.mpc

First off, feathering does not do much for chip out. I modified your project by setting the patterns in the carve region at the same depth of the carve region. For the bow and arrow if you want to recess it use merge subtractive with the pattern inverted. Adjust the height for the depth you want.

If you want it to stand proud like the star and hummingbird set a medium draft and lower the height.
