Default Newbie, who's had a Machine for 10 years

Howdy all, I had the good fortune to buy a Compucarve from a user 10 years ago. But due to life happening I have never had a chance to use it. Until now.... I look forward to many projects with it.

Any advice before i crank things Up? I've read the manual several times, watch a bunch a videos, but I'm wondering if there is anything I should look out for with 10 year old parts and machine.

    thank

I would suggest you do a good lube on the machine, Y/Z rails and bearing and flex shaft, check the head pressure, update to the latest version of software you are running, run the axis tests on the machine (0,8 on the key pad and follow the prompts on the machine), test measure a board and post your project here if you want a second pair of eyes before you run it.
