Still haven't received my order yet. ToolsToday finally answered my email request to check on my order. The Rep said they "gave the package to UPS". But, UPS still says they only received a label notification and no box to ship.

ToolsToday made a new order for me at no charge and shipped it the following day. UPS Tracking says it's on the way, but my shipment has been delayed.

I do have hope I'll get my order eventually.

    Hi Dan,

Have you used your bits yet? If so, have you noticed any difference in Carve quality?

I'm not expecting a difference in visible quality in the short-term. What I am expecting is the bits will keep sharper for a longer period of time.

I have yet to get mine in the mail. Customs always slows things down.

Every one has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

I searched for a company that ships via Pony Express, but no luck.

Pony Express would definitely be faster delivery than what Dan and I have experienced!

I finally used the Spektra 1/16" tapered ballnose on a project this past weekend. Not on my CW but on my ShopBot. The bit is a 1/4" diameter shank and won't fit into the CW spindle without a pressed on collar (which I don't have any laying around!)

So I tested it on the ShopBot using a 1/4" collet and it worked a treat. It doesn't carve any better than a "regular" 1/16" ballnose, but it's great quality like the CarveWrght 1/16" Carving bit. Of course, the main "claim to fame" for the Spektra coated bits is holding it sharpness over a longer period of time than one without the coating. Not sure how I can evaluate that unless I put it under a microscope every few weeks and had the training and measuring tools to objectively evaluate what I'm looking at. Anyway, it's a very good bit. Is it a "better" bit? Jury is still out on that.
