Default text with draft and cutpath

ok put on your thinking caps on, I had a request to make cutout letters with tapered sides .
attached is my thoughts on doing this, but I want the cutpath to be at the end of the draft angle and a 1/8"
    drop off for cutpath.
The part I am fighting is using "path off offset" at the right distance so the cutpath will be the end of the draft.
I just guess a distance while looking at the project, if there a better known way to do it ,great.
The letters will be at least 3/4" to 7/8" thickness, so I will have some space for the tabs to attach.
take a look and give me some of your ideas.
Fell free to play with attachment, just let me know what you may have done.

I have often wondered why it is that
Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left".
