Thread: 2d carving

    Default 2d carving

Could someone please explain to me how to take an import and turn it into a 2d carving using a 1/8" cutting bit. I have never done this but I'm sure there must be a way such as carving a paw print. I don't like the way it "feathers" using a 1/16" carving bit and it is impossible when carving into a veneer.

    Thank you,

Not sure what your asking, but I will give it a shot. Click file, import, import image file, from file, and go to your image location, double click image, next, adjust if needed, finish

If you want to cut out the paw prints, import the image and after making it a pattern and placing on the board, out line the pattern and delete the pattern. When importing the image it should not have a background on it. In the import window use the lowering arrow to remove it.
