Default patterns made from old program changes in new upgrade

Has anyone had patterns made with the original software and when you upgrade to newer version the text in the pattern changes ?

Yes we have. I do not recall the specifics of it or what the fix is though.

The new software has a different font engine required for new features like edit envelope. The only fix I know of for old text is to redo it with the new version.

I've done some Celtic weave carving using Celtic Fonts with centerline text. Have to use Designer 1.187. With 3.103 the results are not right.

What font is that? Is it a TrueType font? I would like to see what goes wrong.

I designed all my projects in the store (so far) using 1.187 so anyone can use them, but along came 2 and ten 3 and things changed. Floor feather has to be in-checked in most cases, then in 3 text handling changed. So I had to red all my projects (if I missed any, let me know) to include versions compatible with all 3 Designer versions. I keep all three available on both my computers. This is also handy for tutoring because I can show the student any version and any option. BTW, for you newer users, I have 2 machines and all add-ons the latest designer and am solidly in the black - no family money goes to my sustainable hobby. So there is hope. But you have to turn out top quality designs and craftsman ship.

I think that may be the fault of the font. I have tried some tiling type fonts in 3.102 and they worked fine. (I wish I could play with the font you are using but I do not want to buy it.)

Have you tried tweaking the spacing between letters and lines?

I had the same issue with that font, wonderful in 1.87 not so much in 3.103. I tried a whole bunch of things, changing line and lettering spacing but could never get rid of them.
