I've had this problem several times and it has been loose y axis bearings.
There are many reasons that can cause lines or ridges in the "Y" direction. Tracking issues, dirty or loose encoder on one of the servo motors, spindle bearings worn out, loose bearings on the "Y" or "Z" truck, board not staying under both rollers during the carve, and using an incorrect correct bit, are just a few.

Could be the artwork too... As a test, I would do a circle or rectangle and do a shallow carve region and let it cut. This half splits the Artwork and the Mechanical Troubleshooting.
But I too suspect it is Mechanical as in a loose Roller Rail Bearing letting the head rock in Y or Z.

Favorite Saying.... "It's ALL About the Brass Roller"..... And "Use MASKING TAPE" for board skipping in the X or breaking bits.
