    Default Cribbage Board Finishing

I am about to begin my first cribbage board. I have a question on finishing. How do you either prevent finish material from flooding the peg holes or how do you keep them clean/clean them out. Thanks for any help. Happy and productive new year to you all.

I haven't done a cribbage board, but I usually use compressed air to blow finish out of holes, letters, carvings, etc. But point it away from you at a towel or something so that it doesn't blow back at you!

I have made several cribbage boards and no issues. I use a sponge brush and wipe on poly in nice light coats. Go over the holes and everything. The key is to NOT saturating the brush or the board. The key is to NOT saturating the brush or board. Click image for larger version.

Thanks, cjudas. Will try that for sure; easier for me than blowing air right now. AND you have a very nice cribbage board there yourself.
