Default Lazy Susan with Pacific North West Image

I just finished making my first Lazy Susan. I found a Pacific North West image on the web that my wife likes so I incorporated it into the top. I used the Rockler Lazy Susan 6" mechanism and Oak wood from Home depot - 11.125 x .5 . I recessed the mechanics so it was a double sided carve on the top. As usual with my projects something went wrong: the 1/8" cutting bit broke two thirds of the way round cutting out the top after it had carved the design. So I edited the design to remove everything except the cut out. Replaced the bit and saved the carve! Phew! So will be ordering a spare cutting bit shortly. Anyway here are a couple of images of the project.

    Cheers

Nice project! Were you making a full-depth cut? Try the 3/16" cutting bit.

Really nice project, will look great on any table. Like the idea of recessing the mechanism into the top.

Thanks for the comments. And yes it was a thru cut so I might buy the bigger bit for future cuts. Thanks for the suggestion.
