    Default Celtic Love Spoon

I finally finished it. The pattern was created by JamesB and posted on the Vectric website forum. The wood is Walnut and it's spray finished with an HVLP touch-up spray gun. One coat of Mohawk vinyl sanding sealer and two coats of Mohawk pre-catalyzed lacquer sanded between coats with 0000 steel wool.

This is the second attempt. The first was a failure because I tried to carve it on a 3/4" thick board and the patterns were really designed for a 1" board. The spoon tip carved all the way through on the front side. On this attempt I used the cut path tool to cut out the perimeter and the inside cuts. There was some problems there too with the 1" thick board. It came out okay but resulted in a lot of hand sanding due to the difficulty in cutting away the tabs in a small space. If I decide to cut another I will make it a pierced project.
