    Default Machine won't come on

I was carving a project (about 3 or 4 minutes into carving) when I got a check motor message. I opened the lid, didn't see a problem, closed the lid and continued with carving. Then, the machine stopped and message screen went blank. I turned off power switch and then back 'on' but message screen didn't come on. Plugged machine into other outlets, still no message screen.

I sure would appreciate some feedback on what to do, what to check, etc.

    Thanks
    Rocky

It sounds like the ole broken connector on the L2 coil on the power supply problem. Is this on your machine from 2008? Al has a bunch of pictures posted about this.

Thanks FW for the link, I see my old pictures...

If you remove the muffler and lay the machine on it's back, muffler side then turn it on likely the display will come back on as the weight of the copper coil L2 pushes back into the hole... A quick check to see if it is the L2...

A TV or Audio Repair Store can fix it with the pictures...

Or buy a new power supply.

    Default L2 coil

In the image (attached), is this the possible offending coil (red arrow)? I tried pushing it in, etc., but still not coming on. I'd replace the board if I was sure that was the problem. Any suggestions?

Do you have a voltmeter to measure the voltages on the yellow and red wires. (24V and 5V)

Yes that is it. Probably the only good way to check is to remove the board so you can better view the connection.
