Default Another light switch cover for our bathroom

Slowly replacing all the light switch and outlet covers in our house. This one I tried to make a smaller version of our towel rack, my thought was a washcloth hanging on the same kind of rack:

Made from curly maple, sprayed with 3 coats very thinned down automotive basecoat (green), 3 coats satin poly clearcoat and liquid gold leaf. Had to use some "caterpillars" to extend switches for the depth of the carving.
A few more pics in next post.

Routed out the back, routed the decorative bracket area down and re-transferred my pattern, cut out on scrollsaw and proceeded to carve.

This is in the same bathroom that I did the bathtub cover for. I carved this by hand (black'n'decker RTX's and turbo carver and of course a router). If this is inappropriate for the forum, I'm sorry.
What do you think of it?
    Thanks ~Mike

I always enjoy seeing what you have/are accomplishing. Your work always makes me think 'can I do that with the CW' since I'm not a hand-carver. Please post the finished light switch.

That is an awesome cover plate. I would have never thought of making it let alone designing it. You have really shown how a very unique product can be produced with the carver if you have the imagination, time and ability. Makes me realize how basic the plates I have been carving really are. Guess I'll have to start trying to use some imagination for future ones.
    Thx for sharing.

Nice idea. It looks like there is enough recess in the back for this to fit a standard plate? I'd think it would not be safe to use wood alone as a cover plate.
