Can't make pattern

I have attached a project that I am trying to make into a pattern (hope this works). When I group everything and make pattern only some of it is used. It has been a long time since I have used the program, but this does not look right. I am using ver 1.86.

We can not use another persons drawing to make a pattern so could you show us what you get when you make the pattern?

The cutout will not be part of the pattern. I think you need to make the cutout parts carve regions.
