Default Podium for the Air Force

I made this podium logo for a local cabinet shop. They built the podium for the Air Force and I carved the logo on the top board. Everything is solid Cherry.

Great job, Steve. The workmanship on the podium and the carving are both top notch. I sure like the look of the cherry....

Steve, brought a small tear to my eye. Miss them days sometimes but then I remember all the miserable moments...makes me miss them more. lol

Really beautiful work. It is for a weather squadron though. I guess they need to feel important sometimes too. The only problem with a podium like that they are going to think they run the wing.

    (I actually like them prognosticators)

Thanks all. It did come out pretty good considering all they gave me to work with was a scanned shoulder patch. I went to their website and found a slightly better pic but it was still low res and not much better. Color is used in a 2D photo to represent depth so I used it to reconstruct and manually trace and model each of the parts. Everything is layered including the clouds, lightening bolts, mountain lion, ground, etc. Then, of course, a 2D photo of the finished project doesn't really show all of the detail very well. They were very pleased.

In total, I have done 12 signs for 6 other departments. Each were six foot long by 5.5 inches wide with their respective logos on one end and the Air Force Logo on the other end. The font and design is of their choosing.

Steve, well done! Nice clean lines, which really brings out the emblem! Looks like it's computer ready too! R, Jon
