    Default Nutcracker model

Finished a test carve on the nutcracker pattern. Two piece glue up for front and back. Next step is to seal it and then paint it. I'll be gluing a small base to or use it as an ornament. Not sure yet.

You did an excellent job with the nutcracker. Hope this is headed to the pattern store.

Sharon, I'm planning on submitting just the front for the pattern store. This was an experiment for me. I've hard zero luck doing two sided carves so tried an stl cut pattern. Still didn't line up perfectly but it was close.

In the store there is an owl - front and back and a puppy (Hound) front and back. Individual patterns. I use them for my bottle stoppers - carve both front and back and glue them together then sand to match. So - submit both back and font and let prople decide if they want one or both. I would like to try carving thru and make a functional nut cracker with a movable jaw.
