Default Help with Rotary Jig. For cane.

I trying to make a cane for disabled Vet. I haven't used the Rotary for a couple of years and have forgot how. I have been putting board measurements of 10" Length, 4 " wide and .5 removal. but when I run it the bit stays above the wood.

    Any Ideas

Could you post the mpc? What is the actual size of the work piece?

I do not see anything wrong with the project. Minimum dowel size is 2.748" so you could use a smaller dowel.

Did you let it carve for awhile? Your pattern overlaps the "No carve" zones and so I think it was slowly ramping in. If you just let it go, it may just do it.

Change the depths of all objects except for "Rotary" to .25". The rectangle also. Change the depth of "Rotary" to .75. If you want the actual final diameter to be smaller, change it in the board setup. Allow some time for the ramp-in at the beginning and end.
