Thread: Rotary Jig Project 3" PVC Pipe "Pieta"

  1. #1

Default Rotary Jig Project 3" PVC Pipe "Pieta"

All fired up from Carvewright Convention 2016, I had to try something new (new for me anyway). I searched online for black & white Pieta files and found one that looked very clean and had medium resolution. I cut a 10" piece of 3" PVC pipe. Having no experience, I searched the forum for other projects. I found a post by Michael Tyler suggesting to start with a cutting depth of 0.18" and a height of 450. I was able to back light the project with a Harbor Freight puck light. Click image for larger version.

Joe, very cool effect with the green wrapper on the puck light. Very "artsy" of you! The illumination comes through just fine even with the wrap. Thank you for sharing the photo!
