Default Need Help on a simple sign pattern

Hope all are having a great fathers day. I have a friend that wants me to make a for his motor coach. I tried duplicating or cleaning up the photo he sent me in Pattern Editor, but I think there is too much background noise, (or it could be me). Anyways does anyone have a similar pattern?Click image for larger version.

For something as simple as this line drawing, I would do a manual trace....

Crop the picture to only include the RV.

    Make a project 12 x 12 inch or 14 x 14.

Make a pattern out of the RV Picture.

Bring it into the 14 x 14 project making it big.

Use the Line and connect line tools as well as the arc tool to manually trace the lines of the pattern.

Assign a V bit to the vector lines and set the depth.

Scale down to fit your project. By making it big to start, slight shaken lines look better when reduced in size.

Delete the pattern save the line drawing.

    Good Luck,

Even some eMail programs will let you copy and paste a photo into the letter. In AOL, I can right click on the picture and do a edit. A Crop would work.

Hi; It is hard to make a good carving image from a Photo, I find it is best to start with a line drawing. If you have the Centerline program you can use a type font to make the lettering image. I have an image of a RV Motorhome. If this will work for you send me a "PM" with your e-mail - I can send you a pattern file.

I find the Paint.NET - free download - does everything I need to prep pictures for use in other programs (Pattern editor, ShaderMap, Inkscape, etc.)
