    Default The Duck

I couldn't find the thread, but a few days ago there was discussion on how to make a drawing of a duck into a pattern. I have been playing with it and learning BJB's method. Using that ( I purchased ShaderMap 3), Paint.NET, Pattern Editor and Sculptor this is what I cam up with.

Clint, very nice. I've had shadermap for 1 or 2 years and you are already way ahead of me with it. Great looking pattern.

Hi Clint - Looks like you got it down pat!
Great 3d look. I got back from Daytona Beach, Florida; yesterday. I'll post the PDF I made for the SMP version 3, This was made from the DEMO 3 program - you can't save the grayscale image with the DEMO programs.

I found Dover Coloring books have great line drawings - I purchased the State Birds and Flowers Coloring Book and all Illustrations are Copyright Free. I have the DVD about done.

sure Happy I could help you out - BJB

Clint, I was the one who asked for help with the duck. I have already finished the plaque for my granddaughter. However, I absolutely like the duck you have worked up. I am going to use it to make a sounding block for her gavel. I am sure she will love it. Thank you for you time and efforts on this duck. Your work is appreciated - thank you.

While I was working on that + editing our local newsletter, editing our local business directory, and working on about 3 carving jobs - MT was coaching me on InkScape to use with DXF Importer. I needed to copy some lettering from a picture of a sign and the customer likes the way it cam out. Thank you BJB and MT!
