    Default Bits for Rock Chuck?

Does anyone know where I can get a 1/8" cutting bit with a 1/4" shank that will work in my rock chuck? CarveWright does not support this anymore, since they want everyone to move to their new CarveTight chuck, which is rather pricey (~$160). PreciseBits carries a carving bit, but not the straight 1/8" cutting bit.

I went to the link, and the only thing I saw was a tapered carving bit, not a straight cutting bit.

As I said he normally sells them but does not have them listed now, you can message him from the link I gave you and ask him if he has any.

This guy had them too but none listed now.

Was looking at the CarveWright Store the other day and did notice that the bits without the pressed on 1/2 inch holder were not available.

Was thinking that parts is parts and still offering them would be fair. They could still make money from them.

The 1/8" cutting bit withOUT the hard pressed collar IS AVAILABLE. It is also on sale for 10% off. All you have to do is go to the bit, click ADAPTER STYLE and change to NO ADAPTER.

Seriously, I have explained this. We did not STOP supporting the Rock Chuck. We NEVER supported the rock chuck because it WAS NOT OUR PRODUCT.

The 1/16" carving & 1/8" cutting bits we offered then are the same ones we offer now and have. The ONLY thing is our software is designed for the CarveTight which does not sit as low as the Rock Chuck. That is why you have to put the bit in a little further and why you cannot use the long carving bits.

Thank YOU for pointing that out... I would have never thought to select adapter style.... Brilliant... Seriously for ME, this confusion is caused because being a MALE I do not possess the "Shopping Gene"... and hence like being color blind did not see it....

The 1/8 inch cutting bits are back on sale on ebay. The shipping charge alone makes this a great deal.
