    Default New to cw

I just bought this cw from a friend he helped me get it up and running. He told me to get on here and you all are great people to get help from when needed. I'm from arkansas and love to work with wood. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. This machine is a lot of fun. You will need to spend some time with the machine and the software. The learning curve isn't steep but some of the concepts may seem a bit foreign to a new user. Prepare yourself for the addiction.

A good way to start learning is to use project designs posted here on the forum of better, in the pattern store on the CarveWright website, and study how they were designed. That will get you above beginner status quickly.

Welcome to the forum. Steve nailed it. It's an awesome machine, one that you will at times have a love/hate relationship with, but the more time you spend with it the more you will get out of it. Visit the forum often, look around and don't be afraid to ask questions.
