Default Assistance in getting pattern from a logo?

Once again, I come Hat in Hand to the “Folks who can do what I can’t” – with a pattern request.

Fielded a request to carve a college logo – image attached. I’ve erased the lettering – that I can do via Centerline text.

Not sure how to best go about getting the rest of it carveable.

    Any input greatly appreciated.

I removed the background from your original pic that was only about 2 inches square and low resolution. I think you will find that when imported into the Designer as a pattern the resolution will not be good enough to do anything with it without a lot of work. Maybe someone else can do better.

Steve, would either of these work better?

I may not be the best at fixing an image... but I have mad search skills

I thought that was a pretty cool logo so decided to do a speed modeling exercise from it. This is my version of the logo so not perfect and may not be what you need but it was fun to make. 20 minutes from start to finish. A new record for me.

There was some cheating involved. Blender just added auto chain generation a version ago and it already had gear generation.
