    You use the STL importer to bring it into designer.

    If you work with 3d models at all you really do need the STL importer add-on. The grey beards on here have said good things about sculptor for post editing of the STL's. So another add-on to consider.

    The STL importer is the only main add-on I have but its been a wonderful tool to port my 3d models into the CW software.

    There is third party software to convert STL to 2d images that you can port directly in the CW designer software.
