Thread: E06-0324 Z axis error solved

  1. Default E06-0324 Z axis error solved

Hello, I had the E06-0324 z axis error tonight. The axis never even tried to move when trying to start project. The Z could move freely powered on or off. Also zero reading on the board sensor. I saw a nick in FFC cable so I replaced it. This did not solve the problem. As a last ditch effort I opened the bottom up and found the big ribbon cable into the cpu to be askew. These cables must tug and pull as the head is raised and lowered. Error gone and everybody is happy again. I hope this helps somebody and more importantly shows in the search. Thanks.

That's a pretty old post but I think he meant the cable was not fully seated in the connector.
