Great job Oscar, Really like the wood choice. I like the way it can be polished up. It can really shine.

Thanks all. Mostly done. The bit was duller than I thought so created some sanding challenges so a little rustic. You all know how much I love sanding.
May have presented a challenge but the result is worth it. Beautiful.
Sanding is something we all get to enjoy. I am always looking for different ways to make that job a touch smoother. Your project looks great.
Thanks gents. And that is why the cross stayed rustic. After 5 minutes of sanding and realizing how much was needed I stopped sanding and called it rustic. lol
Rustic it is, never thought to say **** it, it is rustic.
Managed to get in a little carve time. Made a couple of hearts for two of the granddaughters, turned out they are more Easter looking than fall. Wife found one saying she wanted for one starting to drive, I made up the other for her sister who just joined the swim team and they provided the Guppy name at the school. Figured they could hang them wherever they wanted. Hearts are almost 4 in high and 1/4 in thick. One walnut, one cherry, both epoxy poured centerline carves.
Awesome gifts!! And the saying are too true.
Looking good Want2b. I'm sure they will enjoy them. Hope she don't try to find out how fast her GA can fly.
Thanks for the feedback, hoping to get some projects completed so I can get back to doing more carving. Already missed Halloween, don't want to miss Xmas
