I can't remember if I've posted these before so if I have...sorry. Old brain.

Decided to go with one of each design. Finished the carves last weekend. The traditional crest will go to my parents and I am keeping the non-traditional crest for my love-me wall. A fun project.

14"x20" in red oak, carved normal at .25 full height.

    Default Niknak box

Niknak box for my daughter and son-in-law. Pretty happy with the carvings. My son-in-law is embedded with the Marines as a corpsman so included the Marine bulldog.

Another light sanding tomorrow and another coat of tung oil and it will be ready for mailing.

A one of a kind box. He'll never have to worry about seeing another plus it will be something personal from you.

Finally finished this project after a few weekends. A Navy paddle plaque in Mahogany with black walnut accents and oak handle. Wrapped in Navy blue paracord.
