Thank you. Turned out to be 1/2 an inch to big for my wife's bracelets.

Have to redo it at some point.

    Default Native American flute

Finally have my workflow down. About 2 hours to make one of these flutes not counting gluing time. I've realized I can use the CW to make 95% of the flute but I want to keep the touch labor in building these.

The CW will carve the inside cove on one half of the flute and that's it.

Glue up, cutting the sound holes, and turning on the lathe, tuning, and finish are left to be done manually. Makes each one a unique piece of artwork.

Now have to learn how to actually play one these things. Tuned to F4#.

My wife wants me to relocate to the end of the yard when I practice. lol. I can hold a note now, kind of. If you don't hold the holes perfectly closed it can make a nice screeching noise.

Its a good thing I am really enjoying the process of making these. I have requests from family and neighbors for a flute. The design is slowly morphing and hopefully getting better. Here are my last batch of flutes (cedar, poplar, walnut). They are complete with the exception of drilling the finger holes and tuning. They will all be tuned to F#.

I have enough cedar processed to do another 4 to 5 flutes, which I will start tomorrow, and then I think I will move on to the next project.

The dogs have been howling and the cats running away (that is literally true). I'm not sure you guys want my rendition of any song yet.

Just maintaining a note has been challenging. You have to breathe and move fingers at the same time. Challenging to say the least for me.
