Thanks. I had a lot of yard work today so didn't get anything done this weekend woodworking-wise. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have something to show.

Well, it started as a joke but it came out looking pretty good. I am sad to say my wife stated its her favorite clock I've made so far (including the grandfather clock).

Constructed from Mahogany, black walnut edge accent, and oak spindles. Dragon claw carved on the CW and spindles were lathe turned.

Finished in tung oil. The electronic clock is a tubular quad chime quartz clock movement and it is loud. I love it.

Dbemus, thanks. It was a fun little project. The best part is how much it annoys my daughters. It is loud.

Great job, once again Oscar and the fact that you can annoy someone with it is just icing on the cake.

    Default Simple step stool

A friend from work wanted a step stool for his 3 year old to be able to brush her teeth at the sink. So he asked me to help with building it. His child likes roses so did a quick pattern and here you go. He loved the piece and hopefully learned at least a little bit of woodworking. Nothing fancy but a fun little build.

I really enjoy being able to envision and design a pattern and within an hour be carving a custom pattern on a wood piece with my design.

Piece is black walnut with pocket screw construction.
