Michael, thank you. I have it carved out in walnut but now I have to work on the base but that will be tomorrow.

I snapped a band saw blade which was a sign I had to get back inside and start relaxing with an adult libation. If I am pushing my tools that means I should not be wood working.

    I'll post pictures tomorrow.

I also finished some family crests. Two for my brothers and one for my front porch. The design for my brothers is my newer design. The one for myself is an older version but I still like it.

Really happy with end results. No real plans again just building to a vague idea.

Finally got to this project. It's a bracelet holder for my wife. The wood was harvested by a neighbor from somewhere in Missouri I believe. A little rougher than from my local wood store but the color is spectacular (air dried for 2 years).

Black walnut with red oak brace and 17 inches long by about 5 inches tall.

Michael, thanks. The wife liked it so all I could ask for. The wood was really figured so the grain was anything but straight. I hate sanding so its a little rustic.
