    Default Crosses for my family

Still raw wood and a ton of sanding left to do before I go with oil based poly. Really pleased on how they carved. They will be one of a kind each. Only plan to carve them once, one for each of my siblings. 14" x 12" x .75".

Woohoo a ton of sanding!!! I am grabbing a beer now just thinking about it. I finally went with cherry and maple for the lumber.

Bet they will love them, my experience with my siblings has been they appreciate that you made it most of all. Should be beautiful, having more siblings gives me more excuses to have a beer.

Thank you both. Today is sanding and finishing day. AArrggg. "I love sanding!!" Trying to psyche myself up for the soul killing process.

Love how they came out. Just need to design and build some stands for them.

Looks like you won the sanding war. I especially like the cherry one. They both look great.

Really like the abstract, almost like looking down on the desert. Love the wood, have to admit it's a new one for me. Keep being surprised by the varieties that pop up from around the world.
PS; Did a little digging to learn about the wood and found it is also known as 'tigerwood'. Had heard of it by that name, a rose is a, etc. It is beautiful wood, helped a friend build a bed for a street rod pickup out of it
