    Default Decorate w text question

using Decorate w text, I set the text just the way I want it , region depth is .375, the depth of the text comes out as .125, I wish to lower the overall height of the text, It is too bold, if I change the depth to .280 in the dial. box , I lose the settings of the Decorate w text. It appears the depth is connected to the arc. How do I get both?
    any Ideas

I'm probably not understanding the question, Perry, but why wouldn't you set the depth of the text to match the carve region and use the height to set the height of the letters?

Ok , if you talk to yourself long enough, you answer your questions. When I entered the settings and hit enter, the depth settings is set at .125 and the depth setting is connected to the arc, not the text. When I change the depth setting , it lower the text to the point where the draft did not look the same. I enlarge the draft to max and everything appeared to be corrected.
    sometimes I scare myself.
