Default How to carve a cone shape

I need to carve a circle who's sides taper to a smaller diameter on the inside. I guess this would be a cone or a funnel shape. Any help

make circle, press carve region, sit depth, use half inch feather. Other wise use 3d software.
    thanks so much!

It would help if you could post the dimensions, picture or type of funnel you are looking for. Also the software add-ons you have available. There are different ways of creating the cone depending on what software you have.

I was thinking of basics like Designer 1 and a 90 degree bit. Circle 1 being a dot and .75 deep, circle 2 with .75 radius and .375 deep makes a 1.5" by 3/4" tapered hole.

I misunderstood what was being asked. That is very cool technique. Now have to learn that trick myself. Thank you.

Edit: Okay. I give up. I can't figure it out with my old brain. Do you mind sharing how you did the funnel shape with your technique?

I can create any cone shape and size (as well as complex geometry) using blender in about 30 secs but you then need the stl importer to make it work. (remove floor feathering and feathering to 0 for my pattern)

    Draw a circle
    Use the "Revolve tool"
Draw a diagonal line from the top of the board to the opposite side at the depth desired

    Oscar,

If your request was to me then here is the mpc. My thoughts were to just use the most basic things to create this.
Of course, using the 60 degree bit would require a different circle size or depth.

Doc it was. Lol. It seems so obvious after looking at what you did. I just could not figure it out last night. I am going to blame my head cold that I am enduring and not that I can be a little dense.

Thank you for the patience and the cool technique.

Yeah, I know what you mean; my cold started eleven days ago and I still feel the effects.
