Football via STL Importer?

Don't have the STL importer - but can see the benefit of importing a 3D object, slicing it into 0.75 slabs, and reassembling.

Has anyone done this with a football? Essentially creating a wooden football?

If so - would you be willing to share the patterns?

Have a couple of Fantasy Football awards to create. Usually do a plate or plaque, but thought I'd inquire about a bit move involved award.
