Default carving a .75 deep pattern

I am wanting to carve a 3D pattern that is .75 deep the pattern I can't change because I received the pattern from Oscar is there a way that I can carve that pattern with out hurting the machine.. that carve burned up new flex cable and I would like to try it again, I must of done some thing wrong. This is in reference to the "door knocker" I want to put two peices together back to back. when I done it the first time my peices were only a .25 thick I might of changed the board pattern thickness size to .25 pattern instead of the 3/4 that oscar original sent me.

I would think you just need to set the depth to either pierced or 0.750". Going that deep I would make sure you put a fairly large feather around the pattern to help ease the bit into the wood/pattern.

I am sorry to hear about your cable. Is there anything you want done to the pattern? If you want I can try carving it this weekend and see what it does. - Oscar

That is par for the coarse of using the machine... I don't blame you for it not working right....I'm really thank you for your help on this, just asking if you can get more details on the man pattern. If it takes another flex shaft I'm bound and determined to make it...

lol. Let me rework the pattern. I'll also carve it to make sure it works this time. I'll send you the pattern before I carve it to make sure it is what you are looking for. My wife is snickering.

They must have something in the "manly handbook" about this!
