Thumbs down Need 1/8 Cutting bit

    NO cutting bit for you-

well I just got off the phone to CW and all new bits are going to sears at this time.

I have one cutting bit left and when I snap it i am shut down.

No idea how this works for people in need, I am two weeks in a new project .

Anyone have a replacment cutter I can order??

edit: After looking at old posts on the fourm looks like I can try the "RotoZip 1/4" bit adapter. The part number is CH01"

I have been wainting on an order since the first of feb. I run a business with 300 employees. If I waited that long to ship to my customers I would be out of business.

Not having cutter bits for any of my tools is not going to work for me.

In the old day we would have cutters made for us and I could get almost anything i needed with a week or two, even ground a pair of HSS cutters the shop one time.

When my bits go to sears, it will be hard for me to step in after the tude i got asking for the price protection

I do think the carvewright sales has done it best overall.

I would certainly be looking at alternative suppliers and sources.

If you get some info let us know.

I just removed an old 1/8 cut bit out of the adapter, it snapped after trying to remove it fro the CW chuck for 1/2 hour, only to give up. as soon as the bit spun It disengaged and no more bit.

I am installing a 1/4 cut bit i have for my router and will give that a go.

    If you don't need more than 1/2" DOC, pricecutter.com-item # P11-1501.
$16.99. I have one and use it a bunch for the shallower needs.

Price Cutters also offers a 22 degree bit that comes to a very sharp point. They also offer many bits you can use with the CC. Try going to www.pricecutters.com
