just an update to my previous post....
returning the machine did not speed up the delivery of the bits. What I previously failed to mention was that I also ordered a new machine and recieved it today, 4 day turn-around but alas still no full set of bits.
It looks like it is a reconditioned machine and the 1/8 cut off bit appears different slightly but I'll give it a go as soon as I check all the screws connectors etc.

Why don't they ever clear a neighborhood to plant a forest instead of the other way around.
