Is it stalling on the up stroke? Is it a proper cutter?

Welcome to the forum. We need more info. Mpc, pictures, blow by blow.
I assume you are using the keyhole bit to cut a keyhole.
Could the z truck be bottoming out? Maybe the bit is too high in the collet.

I am using .75 in thick material. After the initial plunge it stalls out leaving the starting hole. I am thinking that the answer was posted that the bit is too far into the collet.....

I'm getting a Z-Axis Stall ERR E06-0314. I'm using the 1/16" cutting bit. It happens shortly after it starts to carve. It is a good bit. I haven't carved much with it. I have been running maple. Thank you for your help!!!

Your Y Gearbox may have bad bearing inside and the bit is slightly out of position causing the Z Problem when it tries to cut too much.
Could be a dirty Z Encoder or a loose disk on the encoder OR a bad FFC Cable too.

i would check cable first, then go to the encoder. They are quick to check, if you find nothing there, then the bearings.
Thank you for the answers. I'll try them tomorrow. Thank you.
This morning I changed the FFC cable and now the machine works good again. I had to wait until this afternoon to try it because we had to go away for part of the day. Thank you for your help!!!!
Glad to hear you may have it up and running again.
