I have two of the ER11 adaptors and they are extremely useful.
I have more than a few of them and I use them all the time. The only thing I do not use them for is the deep bits. For the deep bits, I use the CW press on (heat on) adapters.
Any users which are interested should search ER11M adapter here on the forum or just buy one at

You just install it in the CT. It was designed it to fit in the CT. It is an adapter which allows one to use bits of virtually any diameter up to 1/4" (it comes with 1/8", 3/16", and 1/4" collets but other sizes are available.) After a bit is tightened into it, the bit is used just like a bit with a CT pressed on adapter.

Ok, when he originally asked I thought he was asking about something cheaper than the carvewright decorative bit set. LHR sends a split collet adapter with the bit set. I have both the split collet adapter LHR sells and the whiteside adapters and they both work great on decorative bits. I do not use them on the cutting or carving bits. I did not take a good look at the link he posted but on amazon there is a 1/4 to 1/2 inch adapter that works great.
this is the one I have used for years. Never had a bit slip. I have one on my 90 deg and one on my 60 degree centerline bits.
