Default 1/16" Cutting Bit max pass depth

I know that the max cutting depth with the 1/16" cutting bit is .25". However, does Designer automatically force cutouts to be done in two passes? I am doing cutouts in some .25" redwood which is soft enough that I think could be done in a single pass. When I designed the cutout I left it as a single pass however the machine is cutting it out in two passes. I see the same thing when drilling holes in the same design.

That rings a bell. I think I remember that happening to me.

I have been cutting out some Christmas ornaments out of .250 material and it always does it in 2 cuts automatically.
