    Default Deep Carve Bits Fragile?

I know I am probably not the only one, but is anyone else seeing a quality issue with bits lately?

My daughter, (No, I didn't get mad), accidently knocked off 3 of my deep carve bits off of a 8" high shelf on my machine stand.

All 3 of them snapped in two! Is that really feasible? So now, being $240 in the hole, it make me wonder if anyone else has questioned this?

2-3 years ago bits were much more durable than I believe them to be today...

    "nuff said"

And they fell onto a hard surface? If so my guess they would probably break. I do not think it is a quality issue as carbide is hard but brittle.
