Default Requested Features for next version

I would like to see a tape measure or ruler function for measuring, like Google Sketchup.

I just draw a thin rectangle and enter the length and use it as a on screen tape measure. Yes, it would be useful.

I had a issue where on my big carve that I'm doing where the ouside drawer didn't show the measurement from center so to make sure my measurement was right for a .75 spacing I used the line segment tool and deleted it after so I didn't have to count the squares.

I would like to see a "viewer" created so that all forum members can see the project regardless of the version it is written in.

Wouldn't it be great if you could see a list of bits used on a project before uploading it.
And I would like an auto-save feature. I have had a lot of shut downs and have lost hours of design work. I do save more often now! Anyone else get these unexpected shutdowns? Hey! The Forum auto saves ... it just did it!
Agree with those who would like rulers both vertical and horizontal.

I too have lost hours of design time.......I just count it as practice. I save very frequently.
The ruler in sketchup is sketchy at best, I usually have to type the dimensions in anyway, so with designer I draw it then edit dimensions at the top of the screen.
I also change the size of the grid to fit my needs.
