Default New Desk top name plates

I was asked to create some desk top name plaques, wasn't sure what they should like so I went searching and looked at some samples.
I didn't like was I saw , so I did my own design. these will hold the business cards too.
Take a look. Love that Alder.

They look great. I wish Alder was more common here. It is a great looking lumber.

Those are great, Perry! I've got some Alder boards standing in a corner of the shop...might have to dust them off and use some...it's a nice wood to work with! Thank you for posting the pics.

Good looking name plates. I saw the Fleur de Leis and thought that you must be a fellow Louisianian. I'm in Metairie. Go Saints, Who Dat!!!!

Nice to meet you cajunpen, I have friends all around you over there, we may be able to hook up someday.
I have made another order for my Alder, just to have some on hand for the next project.
I used Golden Oak stain on the lettering and Tung oil on the rest of the projects, it brings out the wood grain.

Robert, on your cat litho on FB, how did you set the text so it want go thru the 1/4" carving material.
did you adjust the height and length to keep it from coming thru?

Your design and finish make the product show well and provide the professional look I'm sure the recipients greatly appreciate.
    Really great final products.
