    Default Can not find surface

Not sure how these machines know surface? This machine does its checks then carves to high. It is starting the carves about .06 to .08 to high from what I can see. Does this on every thing I load in to machine.

Every one has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

Try something simple like drill a 1/2" hole 1/4" deep in the center of a piece of scrap wood. Use jog to touch to touch where the hole will be drilled.

If it fails to accuracy do this, there must be something loose in the z truck system. Something allowing a backlash. All rollers tight? Z belt tight? Bearings in the z motor ok? Encoder tight on shaft?
