I'm sorry for the delay. I believe we have to wait until the database refreshes (sometime after midnight tonight, is my understanding).

Nice project. I learn so much by studying your projects and see how you made them come together. Thank you Michael!

Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I hope you'll have a great time making this - I sure did! My wife already wants to give this one away (to a granddaughter birthday) , so I'll likely need to make a couple more for Christmas gifts!

Just curious... Did you use STL software to create the different parts? I am on the verge of buying the STL importer but keep wondering if I will actually use it enough to make it worth my while.

I did all modeling in the Vectric Aspire software, then exported as STL's. YES, I used the CarveWright STL Importer to slice and convert to the CarveWright PTN format.

Also, I use the DXF Importer for nearly every project I create. I had created all the vectors in Aspire during the modeling process, so I exported those vectors as EPS, and imported into CorelDRAW. Once in CorelDRAW, I exported to DXF selecting the AutoCAD 2004 version (which I've discovered has fewer issues with lines not being connected). Then I used the CW DXF Importer software to get those vectors into my CW MPC layouts.

I could have exported the vectors from Aspire as DXF, but again, my experience is I get better results by exporting from Aspire as EPS for CorelDRAW where I have the option to choose the AutoCAD 2004 DXF format (which is not an option in Aspire...it uses the older R12 format, which I don't like as much).
