Default First project a surprise for a good friend

Remodeling a kitchen for a good friend who loves daffodils. Decided to surprise her and have 2 cabinet doors made with daffodil theme... tried to find someone locally to produce them for me. One CNC business deals in metal fabrication only, Another tried to convince me laser etching was the way to go. Finally decided to buy a machine (from a very nice owner in Atlanta area) and produce them myself. The patterns are 12x13 mirrored images in oval cutouts on half inch birch, stained and varnished. She absolutely loved them!

Wow, I'm impressed with your first project. This is something you need to consider for more than a hobby. Cha-ching, Cha-ching!

Great looking, did you remove the center panel and carve that or was the complete door placed in the machine?

The doors are hand made. I just inserted the baltic birch (plus 7") and then cut it to proper height on my table saw.
