Default Want to carve on a Base ball Bat

    HI,

Have a request to carve a small Logo and a name on a baseball bat, Approx 1" to and 1 1/4" wide...

Any suggestions as to carving a circular logo with loosing it on the curved edges if the bat....

    Thanks,

You have to use the "conform" option if you have the software.
If you don't, then email me your MPC and I'll turn into a PTN.

There was a baseball bat carved on a carvewright at the conference. I am sure you will get a reply from the person who did the carving.

Do you want to use centerline on it or carve a pattern?

We want to be able to carve a logo (Circular) and then text after the logo.
Which ever would work (text) I do have centerline.
I imagine the logo to be about 1" to about 1 1/2" then appropriate text after it....

Thanks for the help so far
I will put something together tomorrow and post...

The easiest and probably the fastest would be the rotary jig. Having the machine carve the bat and your design you do just about anything. Trying to carve on an existing shape/profile other than a flat board it will be hit and miss unless you want to let the machine air carve what it thinks the profile is. IMO..

I thought the rotary jig could only carve objects less than 14". Can it carve longer objects?

You are right. A whole bat would not fit in the rotary jig. Not an option if you want to carve a real, full sized bat.

What is the bat diameter? Can you post what you want to carve?
