No secret, I was looking for corian on line using Craig's list and found this material listed as Corian sheets. They said it was used to cover bathroom walls in comerial bathrooms. The writing on the back was it some forigen language.
as I stated it carves very well ,I have some white in 1/4" and used it as litho, it is not as good as Corian. All my coaster and other carvings work very well.
you might do a search on craigslist in your area for whole sale corian sheets and find some too.

It is most likely some sort of cast acrylic. It is used for that a lot.
I did see a guy on Dallas craigslist with a warehouse full for sale and couldn't get over there to get any of it

Default Found some extra material in my shop

In the discussion we had about the back splash material I found about 30 pieces of the material, 5.5 x 8" in 2 different colors.
If anyone is coming to the conference this week, I will bring them with me and I am willing to sell them for $5.00 each
if some one wants to try their hand carving them. They just don't fit my sleds. They are end drops from the others projects.
They are 3/8" thick and just in my way.
Look me up at the conference.

Great looking tiles you made for the kitchen wall Perry. What is your color finish (paint, glaze, Rub & Buff?)

    Thanks Perry,

I'll have to try it as the finish looks great on your "tiles."
